HousUp is a Realtor-partnered feasibility program for home expansion in Snohomish County, King County and the greater Puget Sound region: backyard homes, additions and garage conversions. It exists because most homeowners who need more room can't afford to move — and nobody was giving them an honest, free first answer about the property they already have.

How the report is made

Our system reads the public record for your parcel — county parcel data, your city's adopted code, flood and critical-area maps, slope, soils, utility service — and applies the rules for the project you asked about. It is delivered within the hour. Anything the system isn't sure of is held for a person to look at first, and a professional review with a site visit comes before any scope or price is proposed. The report is allowed to say no.

Who builds

The construction contract is with [Builder of record — pending], a Washington-registered general contractor, registration [WA contractor reg. no. — pending]. That number appears on every proposal and at the foot of every page of this site, as Washington law requires. You are free to take your report to any designer or contractor.
